    Q: Liquid Soap
    Will you carry liquid soap?

    A: Most likely not.

Liquid soap has more water/alcohol than anything! Our goal as a skin-care business is to provide what is GOOD and REAL for the skin ie: moisturizing etc. And when you purchase liquid soap, you are buying more water and alcohol than anything. Both of these ingredients are extremely drying for the skin.

    Q: Moisturizing soap
What is your most moisturizing soap?

    A: All of them!

Facts: Soap is made from saponified fats and oils. All of our soaps are great cleansers and moisturizers. Then they rinse off. If you feel a film, the soap is not a good one. Soap is meant to be a cleanser.

Then, we always recommend a "topical" application of our Unrefined Shea Butter that stays ON your skin to help renew, protect and heal your skin. This is a MUST, in our opinion, for proper and healthy skin care.

    Q: Softening shea butter
How can I soften the shea butter?

A: With the cooler weather upon us, the shea butter, being in the purely natural state that it is, tends to harden.

What we do is simply place it on our skin and work it in! It does smooth on nicely with a little patience!

DO NOT place the jar/container in the microwave.

You may place the jar/container on a sunny window sill for a bit. Or, you can add JUST A DROP of olive, or other oil, at a time, stirring it until you get to a workable consistency.

I've also put the shea butter jar in my car and let the sun soften it a blt. This works well especially in the wintertime.. But sure to take the jar out!!

    Q: Shea Butter color
Why does the color of the Shea Butter vary?

A: Since Shea Butter is considered "food for the skin", an all natural product, not a cosmetic, and is extracted from the Shea Nut/Karite Tree (aka Tree of Life). The original colour is white, then they add a plant root (name kept secret by the locals) to turn it yellow. The tree root is known to have more healing properties. The shade of shea butter can vary from batch to batch.

    Q: Bulk shea
Is there any way to order the Shea Butter in bulk?

A: Yes! Please contact us for bulk pricing. We are happy to accommodate our Shea Butter lovers!

    Q: Shea Butter
Is the Shea Butter like lotion?

A: No. Lotions "pour". Anything that pours has to have more water and/or alcohol (amongst others) in the ingredients than anything else. Since water and oils do not mix. the water has to go somewhere. It dries your skin which is the reason why one finds themselves reapplying lotion on a continual basis.

Shea Butter, however, is the extract from the Shea Nut Tree. (Karite Tree = Tree of Life) It is obtained by opening up the shea nut from the tree, and scraping out the protective "butter" around the nut. You apply it, sparingly. Your skin will feel so wonderfully smooth and totally moisturized!

It has been called "Food for the Skin". And, with our added Avocado Oil, it's even got MORE nutritional value.

    Q: Nut meal
Why do you use pecan meal in your soap?

A: We discovered that pecans have so many nutrients, that we couldn't NOT use them! Additionally, they are NM largest nut crop, and the largest in the USA.

Pecans contain 70% oil, Vitamins A, E, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, several B vitamins, zinc and more.

With all this richness, and since our pores are "breathing", the nutrients become imbibed into your skin as you exfoliate. The natural oils help to control the dry skin many of us experience in the arid Southwest.
